Our club had one of those innumerable parties that I find very boring. Since I was able to beg out of the affair due to health issues, I sent John in my place. He said that he had a good time, and a bevy of women were inquiring as to my health. Much to their chagrin, he assured them that I’m taken.

Can you give any more color on the -$200 million developer guy (names witheld of course)? Sounds like he’s a clone of The Donald in the early 90s… Clearly he owns a lot of real estate, and owes a lot to the banks, to be so heavily underwater. What locale is this guy’s real estate in?

Michaelj The developer is in Florida and was very successful in the boom, but got caught holding the bag. Still, as Kevin puts it, it’s better to owe 200 million than 200 thousand.

George, I know you’re being flippant, but truth is the ultimate defense against libel and the last thing the developer wants is to be forced to open his books in court.

The WSJ reports his negative net worth as 340 million and the Sarasota Herald Tribune lists his negative net worth at 250 million. I’m being nice to the guy.
