Politics
I’ve been spending way too much time over at liberal blogs, defending the Republican VP candidate. The liberals have pulled out their long knives with Palin, and it’s going to be a long two months. This political season is going to be a tough one. One thing I’ve determined is that most liberals don’t care about the advancement of minorities and women, they only care about the advancement of their ideology. One thing….Palin is one tough broad, and I don’t think she’ll roll over very easily. I’ve been following the hand wringers over at Daily Kos(On my blogroll), and have been laughing my ass off. They’re just making stuff up, throwing shit against the wall, and hoping some of it will stick. Too many people get wrapped up in politics, when there’s so much else in life. Life and living isn’t politics.
On the other hand, I’m slowly on the mend. I’m still taking a lot of pain pills, and have a host of aches and pains. I felt bad about missing the waves yesterday and today. The waves were absolutely excellent. Our beach lost about 25′ due to erosion, which will come back by spring. However, I do worry about the other storms and depressions that are stacking up in the Atlantic like jets on the runway at JFK. I kind of feel bad that I’m not doing any trading for awhile. The oil market really has been speaking aloud, and is telling us exactly what it’s going to do. However, I must keep my discipline, and not pull the trigger on any new trades.

You’re a brave man wandering around Daily Kos land. Truth be told every time I go to either the left or the right’s self congratulating websites I come away with at least four or five less useful neurons.

Come on Jeff, just one. One teeny little oil contract just to see what’s out there. You know you want to.
Just messin’ with you. I hope you’re going to start feeling better soon and those aches and pains fade away.
The hurricanes could do with some fading away as well. It’s like someone suddenly has a hurricane shot-gun over on the other side of the Atlantic and is firing them across 3-4 at a time.
The energy market IS interesting. I had tons of volatility in my account today, but except for one short moment when I got to switch some short grains into long gold shares, everything stayed within my trading threshold! – and this on a day when oil and gas are basically blowing up.
Anyway, let’s hope those hurricanes give you a wide berth.
