  2. I’m looking at some spreads right now. That oil trade is begging me to take the other side for a few ticks. Some really scary stuff. I think I’ll stick with what I know. In my imagination, today, I told my lovely wife that I could get that painting on a $0.70 move on Minneapolis/Chicago, or I could just use her insurance. Actually, that insurance is going to John.

I still talk to Denise frequently during the day.

  3. In “Think and Grow Rich”, Napolean Hill advocated the use of a Mastermind - a group of accomplished people that you admire that you mentally visualize being your think-tank. Anything goes - da Vinci, the Buddha, J.P Morgan, Thomas Edison, Mozart etc… The idea was that you close your eyes, visualize being in their presence, and put your problems and questions to them and ask for ideas and answers. As you’re visualizing, you listen and take note of what they have to say. (Hill claims in his book that as he become more proficient at doing this exercise, these these guys he conjured up would start talking to and debating with each other!) There could be a lot of value in talking to Denise as you still do. :)

    Cheers,
    George

  4. I read that book and actually used some of Hill’s advice. I used old, successful grain traders as my model. It seemed to work….so far.
